Conor McGregor and Frankie Edgar appear to have negotiated a December fight on Twitter and now need the UFC president Dana White to approve the bout. 스포츠토토비즈
UFC president Dana White has been saying for quite some time that McGregor is solely focused on a rematch with lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, who submitted him at UFC 229 in October of 2018. McGregor hasn't fought since, and White is adamant that it's because he wants the rematch. Former UFC dual-division champion Conor McGregor and former lightweight titleholder Frankie Edgar have been tossing words back and forth for several months. Their latest Twitter exchange, however, amped things up to a level where UFC officials may want to jump on the opportunity. McGregor replied to a tweet from the UFC wishing Frankie Edgar a happy 38th birthday, telling Edgar he would “see him in December.” “The Answer” said “yes,” adding that it’s on the former two-division champ and UFC president Dana White to make the fight. McGregor said he would gladly accept and donate his whole fight purse to charity. Edgar was quick to take McGregor up on the offer for a winter showdown, responding, "Thanks pal, I said yes already it's on you and @danawhite to make it happen." The UFC's big event in December is UFC 245, which already features three championship fights and would be made into one of the biggest events in the promotion's history with the addition of a clash between former lightweight champ Edgar and former featherweight and lightweight champ McGregor. The UFC’s December schedule is almost completely filled out, so the odds of McGregor returning to the Octagon this year are slim and none.

Infantino said the idea was in response to Thursday's announcement tmat governments, philanthropists and private firms had pledged just over $14 billion for a plan to save 16 million lives. The money was promised at a replenishment meeting in Lyon, France, of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, where host French President Emmanuel Macron had exhorted countries to give as much as they can. “When President Macron called to ask for support, I said immediately that FIFA and world football are always available to contribute for the good and obviously also for this planetary cause which is a great initiative,” Infantino said. "We will work together on the concept of an event to raise funds and raise awareness about this cause using the power of football," he added. This "big event" whose contours have not yet been specified, should take place next year, added Fifa. The three pandemics still kill nearly three million people a year, including 1.6 million for TB in 2017 and more than 435,000 for malaria. By 2018, nearly 38 million people were living with HIV and the number of infections, of the order of 1.7 million, "remains unacceptable," according to the Global Fund to Fight Pandemics. Between them the pandemics of AIDS, TB and malaria cause three million deaths per year. According to the UN's World Health Organization, 770,000 people died of HIV-related causes last year, with 1.7 million new infections. Tuberculosis, a high risk for HIV-positive people, claimed some 1.7 million lives in 2017, and malaria more than 430,000. Lionel Messi plans to retire at Barcelona; confirms he wanted to leaveLionel Messi made his professional debut for Barcelona in 2004 and made his international debut the following year. 스포츠토토비즈
Messi has spoken out on his future ahead of the upcoming Copa America, and revealed that he could retire prior to the 2022 World Cup, when he will be 35. Messi, told RAC1 that his plan is to retire with Barcelona, as suggestions he would finish his playing career at hometown club Newell’s Old Boys or maybe to even join Pep Guardiola at Man City seem to be well and truly over. The Argentine superstar has been with the Catalan club his entire career after coming through their La Masia academy, and has won four UEFA Champions League titles, 10 La Liga crowns and has been named the best player on the planet six times. “Yes, my idea is to stay for many years. I’ve always thought this way and nothing has changed,” Messi said. “It’s clear that my idea is to finish my career at Barca. Especially because of what I feel for the club and for my family. We are very happy in Barcelona. From my childhood I have dreamed of playing for Newell’s because of what football means in Argentina, but sometimes one has to prioritize the family. I wouldn’t like to break up the friendships that my children have made here, as happened to me when I was little.” “In 2013-14, I did want to leave Barca. There was a situation that went beyond what I felt for the club. I wanted to leave Spain because of the tax issue. I felt mistreated… I don’t think that there is anything new to report regarding my contract extension, but there will surely be no problem if it materializes. With the club, everything is always simple.” |
